www.eufic.org (in English, Deutsch, Italiano, Francais, Espanol, Portugues). As an independent, non-profit organisation, EUFIC has been established to provide consumers with objective science-based information about food safety and quality.

Coolfoodplanet (www.coolfoodplanet.org) is also a site from EUFIC. It offers a Kid’s section, a section for teens, and a section for teachers and parents. Coolfoodplanet gives a lot of information about nutrition in a short and funny way.

This Canadian site of the University of Guelph offers a lot of topics like "Food Safety and international trade" or "Eat well, eat safe". The "Eat well, eat safe"-site for example is a companion website to the Food Safety Network and offers consumers a source of Canadian information about food and food safety.

University of Illinois, Urban Programs Resource Network:www.urbanext.uiuc.edu, a site for parents and children. This site has a nutrition and health section. (partly in Spanish).

Food and Beverage - Quality and Safety, a site of the company SGS, UK: www.sgs.co.uk informs about food law, "hot issues" like GM-Food, Mad Cow Disease and more. With an online game for kids: Food Fight

The website "Healthy Eating Club": www.healthyeatingclub.com offers a lot information about nutrition, health and food production in fact sheets and articles, e.g. about food additives, food labels, minerals, nutrients or phytochemicals. Also on this site: dietary assessment tools, on-line healthy eating course and on-line wellness program.

This is a site with recipes, how to use apples as a medicine and other information about the healthy fruit. VOG offers an "apple box" in German, English and Italian.

The Flour Advisory Bureau, UK: www.fabflour.co.uk. The Flour Advisory Bureau is the central source of information for all matters concerning flour and bread. They hold detailed information on everything from health and nutrition to cooking and baking. An informative site on all matters concerning flour and bread in the UK for the public, media, schools, health professionals, and the catering, retailing and baking trade. Education material for kids from 3 to 14 years (for older pupils coming soon).

The TELLUS project at www.ceja.educagri.fr : The TELLUS pack contains a set of educational documents which aim to present the agricultural sector within the European Union to children aged between 9 and 11 years, i.e. who are in their final years of primary school education.

AgNIC is a guide to quality agricultural information on the Internet as selected by the U.S. National Agricultural Library, Land-Grant Universities, and other institutions. You may search for topics like "Farming and Farming Systems" or "Food and Human Nutrition".
